Late Model Mania Dirt Sim Series Rules

 

RULE BOOK DISCLAIMER

The rules and/or regulations within the LMMDSS Rule Book are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for each LMMDSS event. By participating in any LMMDSS event all participants must comply with the following rules and follow accordingly. The LMMDSS reserves the right to revise or change any rule at anytime if needed. For any questions or concerns about any of the following rules please contact the LMMDSS via email at lmmdss@thomasdclarke.com .

 

GENERAL

 

1 - Any competitor not following any rules within the LMMDSS Rule Book during a event will result in a disqualification from the event. (If a participant is disqualified from a event for any reason then that participant will not be awarded any points for the event.) Depending on the offense of a rule; The LMMDSS reserves the right to disqualify, deduct points, suspend, or indefinitely suspend a participant from any LMMDSS competition.

2 - Competitors are required to have the Discord App for communication. Discord is a APP that can be downloaded on a cellular device and/or computer free of charge. (A online party lobby through the PS4 only allows eight participants at a time to voice chat. Therefore the LMMDSS will use the Discord App.)

 

3 - Competitors are required to be in the LMMDSS Server within the Discord APP on scheduled event nights at the time scheduled for each event. Competitors must be in the LMMDSS Discord Server before Qualifying. Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate and will not be awarded any points for the event. If there are eight or less entries on a race night then the LMMDSS may revert to using a online party lobby through the PS4 for communication.

 

3 - Arguing with LMMDSS officials or other competitors within a event will result in a disqualification from the event.

 

REGISTRATION / MEMBERS

 

1 - Competitors must register with the LMMDSS to participate in any LMMDSS events. Registration will require the participants Full Name, Age, Contact Information, and Online Player ID and/or Name.

 

2 - Participants who enter the LMMDSS Discord Server, online party lobby, and/or race lobby on scheduled event nights that have not completed registration prior to the event will not be allowed to participate.

 

3 - By registering with the LMMDSS the participant waives the right to the LMMDSS to use the participants Full Name and/or Online Player ID and/or Name within the LMMDSS website, standings, and/or results. (A participants age and contact information will be kept private.)

 

4 - By becoming a LMMDSS Member will hereby state that the participant has read and agrees to follow all rules and/or regulations set out by the LMMDSS.

 

5 - Competitors must be accepted by the LMMDSS to compete in any LMMDSS events. The LMMDSS will notify participants who complete registration to inform a certain participant if they are accepted.

 

POINTS SYSTEM

1 - The LMMDSS points system will be as follows: 1) 35, 2) 34, 3) 33, 4) 32, 5) 31, 6) 30, 7) 29, 8) 28, 9) 27, 10) 26, 11) 25, 12) 24, 13) 23, 14) 22, 15) 21, 16) 20, 17) 19, 18) 18, 19) 17, 20) 16, 21) 15, 22) 14, 23) 13, 24) 12


2 - All cars entering a event but not making the starting field will receive 11 points.


3 - Points will be awarded only for the Feature event. There will be no points awarded for Qualifying, Heats, or B-Main.

 

4 - At the end of the season 25 loyalty points will be awarded to each participant for perfect attendance. (Perfect attendance will require a competitor to compete in all scheduled events.)

 

5 - All LMMDSS events will be scored. NO DROPS.

 

6 - For any competitors that may end in a tie in the final LMMDSS standings then those competitors will be broken down by wins, 2nd place finishes, 3rd place finishes, etc.

 

ON TRACK

 

1 - STAGING: Competitors are required to line up in their correct positions given by LMMDSS officials during a event.

 

2 - RESTARTS: The LMMDSS will use a "Double File Restart" option after the initial start of a event. This option will be used in Heats, B-Main, and Feature. Once there is a caution; Participants must slow down. Participants will then be put into the correct running order in a single file line. All participants one lap down to the leader will be placed at the rear of the field. Once the correct running order is established; Participants will then be placed in the "Double File Restart" order. The leader of the race will be placed alone in the front row. The participant in second place will have their choice of either inside or outside of row number two. All other participants will line up accordingly double file style. (Feature Event Only) If a caution is called inside five laps to go; Restart will be single file. Restarts will be controlled by the leader only. The restart zone will be coming off of turn four on all events. 

 

3 - CUTTING: Cutting the track will not be allowed in any LMMDSS competition. If a participant goes off the racing surface and returns then that participant will not be allowed to advance their position and must return to the position in which they were in before leaving the racing surface. Wall riding continually to advance your position will not be allowed.

 

4 - CAUTIONS: Yellow flags will be turned off in all LMMDSS competition. Therefore it is the participants responsibility to call their own caution. Once a caution is called by another participant all other competitors must slow down and line up for the restart. Competitors are required to keep a pace around 55 MPH during a caution. Cautions are to only be called if there are two or more participants involved in a incident and/or if a participant is blocking the track. If there is single car incident and the participant involved can keep racing without harm to any other competitors then that participant is not to call a caution. Participants who cause three cautions in any LMMDSS competition will be required to retire from the event. There will be no cautions within three laps remaining unless the track is completely blocked.

 

5 - AGGRESSIVE DRIVING - Aggressive driving will be prohibited in any LMMDSS competition. It is the participants responsibility to keep their driving at a clean and sportsman like conduct. Limited rubbing is fine. There will be no toleration for the following actions: Intentionally door slamming a participant, intentionally spinning a participant, intentionally hitting a participant with force to advance and/or win a event, and jumping the restarts. Intentionally driving backwards on the track is prohibited and will result in the participant being automatically banned from the LMMDSS.

 

RACE FORMAT

 

1 - The LMMDSS will follow the following race format on all LMMDSS events unless otherwise noted.

 

2 - QUALIFYING: 3 Laps. The LMMDSS will group qualify. Depending on the amount of entries on a race night will determine the number of participants that will be grouped in each qualifying session. The maximum number of participants per group will be five. No participant will be locked in from qualifying. Once the session starts competitors will spread out on the first lap of the session to allow for two laps.

 

3 - HEATS: 7 Laps. Qualifying times will set heat races. Depending on the amount of entries on a race night will determine the number of participants that will be grouped in each heat race session along with the number of heats. (Depending on the amount of entries will also determine how many participants will transfer from heats.) Once the session starts competitors will be required to slow in turn one to line up in their correct positions given by the LMMDSS. Once everyone is in their correct positions the heat race will begin coming to lap two.

 

4 - B-MAIN (If Needed): 13 Laps. Participants not locked in through heat races will run a B-Main. There will only be one B-Main. (Depending on the amount of entries and/or locked in participants will determine how many participants will transfer from B-Main.) Once the session starts competitors will be required to slow in turn one to line up in their correct positions given by the LMMDSS. Once everyone is in their correct positions the B-Main will begin coming to lap two.

 

5 - FEATURE: 50 Laps. Once the session starts competitors will be required to slow in turn one to line up in their correct positions given by the LMMDSS. Once everyone is in their correct positions the feture will begin coming to lap two.

 

6 - PROVISIONAL:  The LMMDSS will hold two series provisionals during LMMDSS events if there are more then 24 competitors signed in on a race night. There will be one provisional for the highest participant in the LMMDSS standings not making into the feature and one provisional will be open for the highest participant in qualifying not making it into the feature.

 

RACE SETTINGS

 

1 - The LMMDSS will follow the following race settings on all LMMDSS events unless otherwise noted.

 

2 - QUALIFYING:  Race Length: 3%, Tire Wear / Fuel Consumption: Normal, Flags: Disabled, Stages: Disabled, Stability Help: No, and Custom Setups: Yes.  

 

3 - HEATS: Race Length: 7%, Tire Wear / Fuel Consumption: Normal, Flags: Disabled, Stages: Disabled, Stability Help: No, and Custom Setups: Yes.  

 

4 - B-MAIN: Race Length: 13%, Tire Wear / Fuel Consumption: Normal, Flags: Disabled, Stages: Disabled, Stability Help: No, and Custom Setups: Yes.  

 

5 - FEATURE: Race Length: 50%, Tire Wear / Fuel Consumption: Normal, Flags: Disabled, Stages: Disabled, Stability Help: No, and Custom Setups: Yes.

 

REQUIREMENTS / CONNECTION

 

1 - REQUIREMENTS: The LMMDSS is a online racing experience for Dirt Late Model competitors on the NASCAR Heat 3 game using the Playstation 4 gaming console. Participants must have NASCAR Heat 3 (PS4 GAME), a Playstation 4 gaming console, along with a Playstation Plus membership for online play.

 

2 - CONNECTION: It is the participants responsibility to maintain a online connection at a suitable speed. If a participant has a low connection speed which results in lagging then that participant will be asked to retire from the session and/or event.

 

AWARDS

 

1 - The LMMDSS will not be responsible for sponsor and/or supporter awards along with giveaways.

 

2 - If any sponsor and/or supporter adds any prize money to a particular LMMDSS event or within the championship standings then members will be required to have a active PayPal account to receive earnings. 

 

CRATES

 

1 - The LMMDSS Crate Tour will follow all LMMDSS rules with the exception of custom setups. Participants will be required to run a in game default setup.

 

POWDER PUFF

 

1 - The LMMDSS Powder Puff Tour will be a Ladies only tour in which will follow all LMMDSS rules with the exception of custom setups. Participants will be required to run a in game default setup. Laps will be as follows for the LMMDSS Powder Puff Tour: Qualifying 3 Laps, Heats (If Needed) 7 Laps, B-Main (If Needed) 7 Laps, and Feature 25 Laps. Less then ten entries on a race night then there will only be qualifying and feature.

 

PICK UP

 

1 - PICK UP events will be non points events held by the LMMDSS. These events are designed for competitors to have fun and enjoy a night of online racing with fellow competitors. PICK UP events will follow all LMMDSS rules.
